How to wash your makeup brushes

Hi makeup lovers! I really wanted to share to you this makeup brush washing tip, how I do it. Yes, you have heard about using baby shampoo, and extra virgin oil mixed with dish washing liquid, but in my case I use dish washing liquid with baby shampoo. Why? Dish washing liquid can kill germs and other causing bacteria it can clean thoroughly even oils and other unmentionables I do not want to mix it with virgin oil that is because I do not like the oily feeling coz it really stick even when you wash it and I really do not like the smell of it. Mixing a dish washing liquid with baby shampoo is so much better. I have thought of that when I did  not like the result  of my frequent regime of washing my brushes. extra virgin oil which is costly by the way, can take care of the hair of your brushes, however a baby shampoo has some ingredients that can make your brushes clean, soft, and smelling great! It has lot's of vitamins too! So which one will you use?

Here, I have chosen Johnson's baby shampoo! My other bottle is running out so I bought another one at a drug store. I believe that the orange would be great for it conditions hair and it softens the hair of your brushes but I love the smell of the yellow one more :)

Any dish washing liquid would be fine. You can select different kinds dish washing liquid in any grocery store.

So let's start washing!!!!

1.In a plate, drizzle the dish washing liquid and swirl the baby shampoo

As you can see, the dishwashing liquid is at the left side while the baby shampoo is at the right side.

2. Make circular motions with your brush while dipped into the plate.
See how the product is removed?

A lip brush has a sticky product in it bus it has no match with the cleanser. Off you go slimey!
I love this brush it's from a Vicoria's Secret Lip palette. It was given to me by my mom on my last birthday!

An eyeliner brush looses it's liquid liner residue.

3. Now, it's time to wash your brushes.

Make sure that there's no soap left. Pressing it can make you see if there is still soap in it. Press a couple of times to be sure. Bubbles will appear if it has soap left. Take time washing the brushes with slow flowing water. Maxed flow of water will not help. It can ruin your brushes and it can waste water as well.

4. Dry your brushes using your favorite clean towel, But I suggest that you buy a cottony face towel for your brushes because when you use your towel for your body, you would not want to use that for your brushes.

5. Dry your brushes. In order to dry your brushes, some say that you have to dry them downwards because it can ruin the intact of the glue inside your brush(True). You can do that if you have a brush guard as you have seen on some tutorials on youtube. But, I believe that's not necessary. It's costly too! Like me, I have several brushes and a pack consist only 6-7 there is for one size and there is a brush guard in one pack for different sizes. That's why I have though of this instead.

As you can see in the picture, my plate has depth in the middle. Place your brushes inwards so that the water will fall down and not be stuck inside the brushes which can ruin the intact of the hair. You may place a tissue underneath if your brushes are big so that if there's water left from drying your brushes it cannot be absorbed with the other brushes beside it.

So that's it for today! I hope you like this tip. Thanks for reading!
